Mission 4, with final Fall Quarter teams, is about starting to explore the Design Space in earnest. This effort involves creating some very early prototypes, while also continuing with need-finding and benchmarking of relevant technologies, and compiling of human and other resources.
The early prototypes are to inform the design team about issues that would affect -- and perhaps validate or rule out -- a particular design direction. These prototypes must have a user, or class of users, in mind. Hence we combine them with Persona development.
