Thanks to a partnership between the Senior Formal Committee, the Financial Aid Office, and the Opportunity Fund, started in the 2016-2017 school year by Jorge Cueto ‘16 and Lucy Svoboda ‘16, low-income students are offered discounted tickets to Senior Formal and Opportunity Funds are available to help students with expenses associated with Commencement. I want to expressly highlight that Opportunity Fund money can be used to pay for family travel associated with commencement. The Financial Aid Office reaches out to low-income seniors who qualify to use the funds close to when both Formal and Commencement occur.
