Description:
This class meets the needs of our diverse population of students and will cover the 4 components of Physical Fitness (Agility, Cardiorespiratory Endurance, Flexibility and Muscular Strength/Endurance) to enhance overall health and well-being. This class will include lifetime sport activities; individualize fitness workouts, health concepts, and vocabulary. (Semester or Yearlong Course)
*Open to both 7th and 8th graders.
Description:
Students will engage in a variety of functional fitness activities including plyometrics and other agility exercises as well as be given an introduction to strength training and receive instruction in proper weight lifting techniques. (Yearlong Course)
*Open to 7th and 8th graders who have completed at least one season on an athletic team.
