Here are just a few websites you can check out to get free books for yourself, your friends, and your family. There are many more legal sites out there for ebooks and audiobooks, and this page will be updated as we encounter more resources of interest.
Ebooks are compatible with many common e-readers, but even if you don’t have an e-reader, you can often enjoy the books on your smart phone, tablet, computer, or browser. Just remember to act quickly when you see a book you want. Contemporary and self-published books have a way of being free one day, and not the next. Classics are generally available on a more consistent basis.
As a side note, you should always use your own discretion when choosing a book from these sites. These books are free, though not all may be good or entirely to your liking.

Most of these audiobooks can be listened to through a computer or downloaded to play on a smartphone or MP3 player.
Happy reading (and listening) from the L-M English Department!
