The focus of this class is reading literature from around the world. Our discussions will center on understanding how literature from the past can help us better understand the world of today, including armed conflict and human rights issues. For this purpose, we will be discussing events from regions of the world that we study. Students will be expected to independently read novels from around the world and present to the class.
