Selandar Community College (KKSL) has implemented multiple infrastructure and environmental initiatives that directly contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Collaborative Classroom, equipped with digital learning technologies, supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting interactive and inclusive learning through ICT integration.
The Vermicomposting Project and Fruit and Herbal Garden contribute to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through organic waste recycling and sustainable agriculture practices.
Through tree planting activities in collaboration with FRIM and the Kampung Angkat MADANI Project in Perak, KKSL supports SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by enhancing biodiversity and environmental awareness.
Inclusive facilities such as wheelchair ramps, accessible toilets, and a lactation room address SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), ensuring accessibility for all.
Meanwhile, rainwater harvesting and erosion control structures strengthen SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting sustainable water and land management.
Lastly, Community and Lifelong Learning (PSH) Programs align with SDG 4 and SDG 17, fostering collaboration with local stakeholders for sustainable campus and community development.
Collectively, these initiatives demonstrate KKSL’s commitment to creating a sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient educational environment aligned with SDGs 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17.
