For this Monday’s class we will complete the material in Chapter 2 on the Church (pages 66-72), which I will teach, and then Ms. Cruz will cover pages 73-78 in Chapter 3.

This Monday we will finish covering the section on Creation (pp. 58-62) and then cover Chapter 2, the Gathered Church (pp. 63-72).
There are 2 pages that review both topics in "Family and Faith,” page 61 (Creation) and page 71 (Church), which are great subjects to discuss as a family if you have the chance.

This Monday we will cover the seasons of Easter / Pentecost (pp 39-50) and then start a new section on Creation (pp 53-58).
We also will make a trip to the church for the Annual Adoration.

Hello parents and students of Grade 3 (d) PREP!
This Monday all the students will participate in Confession (see the email from Elizabeth Walls on Thursday Oct 7th).
We will also cover the Advent and Lent seasons in class (time permitting) on pages 23-37 of the Alive in Christ book. If you have a chance before Monday’s class, please feel free to discuss the material on pages 28 and 34 as a family.

Key Objectives:
The story of Joseph in the Old Testament shows us the importance of forgiving and loving.
Jesus commands us to love our enemies.
Key Words:
Beatitudes - teachings of Jesus that show the way to true happiness and tell how to live in God's kingdom now and always.
Mercy - kindness and concern for those who are suffering. God has mercy on us even though we are sinners.
New Commandment - Jesus' command for his disciples to love one another as he has loved us.
