Abstract of the talk:

Books are the windows to the world of knowledge. So are movies. Movies have a profound influence on our lives more than we can ever imagine. In fact, movies make a greater impact than books because the former is more visual. This interactive session deals with the use of books and movies for creating a better version of yourself.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Arun Luiz T, Assistant Professor of Chemistry Department. He shared his learning of why he started to write a book and the ways of getting it published. He broke the myth of ‘writing is difficult’ through his thoughts of experience. He tagged few famous motivational speakers and authors and shed light on the uniqueness of their work. He continued with the role of movies and it’s impact on our life. He related how the films inspire us emotionally and spoke about the ways to carry that motivation and not to lose it as a short-lived bubble. He concluded the session by motivating the audience to imagine themselves as the superhero whom they want to be and to ponder for that power within them.
