Talk on :
Do what you have to do, Use what you get, Get where you want to
Date & Time:
30-07-2021 (Friday) @ 12:00 Noon
Abstract of the talk:
Society places many requirements on its citizens, more so on young adults. In addition to asking us to decide what we want to do for the rest of our life at an age when we hardly understand what life is, there is an additional requirement to get it right. Parents in their worry and wisdom, guide us to courses that they consider will prepare us for a future career. However, the future, as we know from the past is as uncertain as it can be. The skills you learn now in your course provide you a foundation that enables you to change your swim lanes.
Join Avi Natesan for an honest discussion on challenging yourself, thinking outside the box and doing what you have to, to get where you want.
Report
The second EML was delivered by Ms. Avi Natesan, a Final Year Student of the CSE Department.
Avi in her talk clarified a lot of doubts that every young, still college pursuing future entrepreneur would have in their mind. She rightly focused on the questions that the parents and society would pose to them and supported them to give a try for ‘that’ passion which might become their career in the near future. She shared various tips to balance college work and business successfully. Avi explained her business model and gave the reasons for how it worked for her. In many instances, she stressed that patient learning will guarantee self-improvement and students should never be demotivated by comparing themselves to their peers. She also highlighted the support that SSN management and faculty members render to keep up the passion going for SSNites.
Conclusively, Avi showed complex Origami models that she has made and the stress buster slimes, which was really very satisfying to watch.
