My Learnings and Experience as Naturalist

Time:

20-11-2021 (Saturday) @ 08:30 am

Abstract of the talk:

Biodiversity is an important part of our life, especially at SSN. Let’s explore the richness of campus and explore the various natural treasures at SSN. I love working with animals and spending time in the outdoors. Most of these activities require me to be outside the classroom. So how do you balance what you like and your academics?

Report:

The November month EML was delivered by Mr. Vikas Madhav, Alumni of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Vikas walked the audience through biodiversity hotspots available at SSN campus and discussed the species existing in such locations. He visually presented the breeds of butterflies, reptiles and bugs. It was stunning to know the existence of rare butterflies at SSN which are generally seen only near hilly location. Vikas not only described the features of these creations but also mentioned their contribution in balancing the nature of the soil and the environment. He also shared tips on handling academics and being one in nature.

Conclusively, Vikas explained the magic of nature in destressing oneself by just observing the green environment around us. He also accepted the request from Principal to start a nature club to nurture the existing flora and fauna at campus.
