Water Painting

Painting with water on "magic " paper (our Budha Boards) is impermanent art because the water evaporates and disappears. Understanding impermanence helps to nurture positive perspectives and helps people cope during trying times.

Whether art is permanent or impermanent, it is a form of creative expression. It also teaches us that it is ok to let go, and to be in the moment we are in (mindfulness).

Did you know that happiness and creativity can go hand in hand? Beyond improved happiness, studies indicate that creative self expression and exposure to the arts have wide-ranging effects on cognitive, mental, and physical health.

Creativity is beneficial because:

  • It allows you to express and process emotions.

  • It feels good to make art.

  • It helps you focus on the present moment.
