Mr. MacMillan posts videos on YouTube as The Greenway with Mac.
Making videos is one of the great joys in the world. When you take an idea and turn it into a video, it is such a rewarding experience. The planning, problem solving, and editing teach you valuable life skills that carry over into every part of your life....and you have something you can be proud of when you finish.
This class provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the video creation process, teaching them how to plan, shoot, and edit their own projects, covering aspects like scriptwriting, camera operation, lighting, sound recording, directing, and editing software, allowing them to create various types of videos like news reports, commercials, music videos, and short films, while developing technical skills and creative storytelling abilities. This year students had units on vertical videos, passion projects, silent films, single-day projects, and a semester showcase. Below are some examples to explore and enjoy.
