In CGA Year 1, students explore the essential tools and techniques in Adobe Photoshop, building a strong foundation in digital design. Through real-life, project-based assignments, they develop skills in photo manipulation, typography, and composition, applying their creativity to posters, advertisements, and branding materials. This hands-on approach prepares them for advanced design challenges while connecting their work to real-world applications.
This course is aligned with the California Visual Art Standards.

Computer Graphics Arts 2 (Y)

In CGA Year 2, students will further develop sophisticated design concepts and processes previously learned in CGA1. Students will dive deep into branding and visual identity, focusing on the creative process behind building a brand. Using Adobe Illustrator, they will design logos, websites, apps, brand boards, packaging, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency across all elements. Through hands-on projects, students develop a professional portfolio showcasing their ability to create cohesive and impactful brand identities.
