Ruby Kowell
Hi, my name is Ruby Kowell, I'm in AP Art, and I've been in ArtQuest the last four years. I'm a mixed media artist who does a lot of painting and I enjoy doing almost anything creative. I work a lot with painting mediums, lately I've been using a lot of gouache. This year, I will be submitting a drawing portfolio.
"What makes a house a Home?"
My sustained investigation is the exploration of what it is that makes something feel like Home, and pin pointing what exactly this feeling is. The idea of Home is something I find very peculiar and have fought about within my family for the past year or so. I have discovered Home is a feeling of security and warmth. In my work I often reference my future and my past when looking for inspiration on pieces to connect to this SI. A lot of this investigation is about exploring new media and trying new things, so I try to mix things up.
