Ellie Bertling

My name is Ellie Bertling and I've been in Visual Fine Arts at ArtQuest for four years. I mostly work in paint, including acrylic, oil, gouache, and watercolor. I tend to mainly paint portraits, specifically self- portraits and for my AP portfolio I'm submitting a drawing portfolio .

My chosen sustained investigation for my portfolio is Identity. Through my work, I'm focusing on what makes up our identity and our control as well as our role within it. My pieces show what has determined my own identity as well as universal symbols that represent different elements of a person's identity.
