Becoming an EMT is a great way to help others and make a difference in your community. EMTs are first responders who provide care to patients in emergency medical situations. They are trained to assess patients, provide lifesaving interventions, and transport patients to the hospital. All EMTs must complete rigorous training and pass a certification exam in order to provide care to patients. If you are interested in becoming an EMT, we encourage you to explore this page.

1. Review the perspective member letter. Learn more about our organization. Please know that volunteering with District II is very demanding; it takes alot of time and can be emotionally stressful. Kindly make sure you can meet the commitments involved before you apply.
2. Complete the membership application below in its entirety.
Please ensure two reference forms are completed by two non-family members. Your reference can return the form directly to the squad via email or to the applicant to submit with their application.
3. Return the application to: recruitment@squad146.com
If email is not possible, you can:
contact us to arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet and collect your application.

Please know applications are:
reviewed monthly.
remain valid for 60 days.
We prioritize qualified applicants who already have a current certification as a NJ EMT.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
