Programs for Youth
Note: During COVID-19 the below programs were suspended. When the time is safe as directed by health officials, these programs will be reinstated.
Structured programs held each Wednesday evening offer in-depth instruction on EMT topics, prepare participants for EMT classes and provide regular field ride-alongs. This is a competitive entry program for ages 14-18.
EMS Summer Camp
Youth ages 15-19 can participate in this weeklong day camp in June that provides extensive hands-on instruction on EMS equipment and procedures. Camp includes team building and field trips to related sites.
These monthly sessions of hands-on instruction on EMS equipment and procedures for high-school aged youth take place the second Monday of each month from 7-9 p.m. This program does not include field ride-alongs.
