Project Overview

The Aquaponics Crayfish – Chinese Medicine Programme engaging twenty Form 4 students in a unique educational experience that combined the principles of aquaponics with the rich traditions of Chinese medicine.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the programme were to:

• Provide students with a foundational understanding of Chinese medicine and its applications.

• Introduce the concept of fish-vegetable symbiosis and its importance in sustainable agriculture.

• Encourage hands-on learning through the care of crayfish and medicinal plants within an aquaponics system.
