What is Apple Classroom?
When teaching in class, you can launch a specific app, website, or textbook page. You can also send documents to and receive them from your students, and share student work locally on a TV, monitor, or projector using Apple TV. Finally, you can see which apps students are working in and, at the end of the class, view a summary of how students spent their time.

What is Schoolwork?
Schoolwork is an Apple app that is only available for the iPad. Schoolwork allows teachers to be able to distribute Apple assignments individually, small group, and whole group more easily than through Schoology or Seesaw. It functions similarly to the Google Assignment integration in Schoology. You'll make the assignment in Schoolwork it will give each student their own copy and you'll have visibility of their progress AND be able to comment while they are working.
There are other uses, as well, such as distributing links, having entire lessons built in there, giving an option for them to turn-in something they created on their own. Schoolwork does not integrate or talk to the Schoology Gradebook. You would need to add a Grade Column in your Gradebook for work completed in Schoolwork.
Students do not log into the app. Teachers' classes will automatically be available if they are previously built in Apple Classroom.
This is not meant to replace Schoology, instead, it may be a better way to complete some assignments depending on the functionality you are looking to have.
