"Young people need models, not critics." is a quote by John Wooden and I could not agree more. As teachers, we are to guide our students' learning and allow them to have the opportunities to create their own learning. I believe that every student learns in different ways. It is my job as a teacher to take all these different ways of learning and bring them into the classroom. I have my students participate in whole group lessons, small group, and individual activities. I integrate technology into my lessons to help students appreciate the valuable resources it has to assist them in their learning. My classroom has a safe and positive environment which help them develop the skill and concepts they need to become responsible, contributing citizens. My students are encouraged to respect, value, and share their own and each other's special gifts and talents.
