All concerned parties are to follow these guidelines concerning security:
Coaches are to be aware of building security, as well as the security of playing fields. Coaches should check all areas they have utilized at the termination of their use to be sure the area is secure and the lights have been turned off.
A member of the coaching staff should be the last person to leave the facility, unless another appropriate district employee is assigned to that area. It is his/her responsibility to ensure all students have properly vacated the premises before departing. Coaches should instruct their student-athletes not to enter facilities before a coach has arrived.
Coaches are responsible for taking all necessary precautions to ensure their keys are not lost or stolen.
Only the Director of Athletics and Activities or the head custodian will distribute keys accordingly.
Coaches are NOT to copy keys.
Coaches are NOT to lend their keys/FOBs to unauthorized individuals.
Should a key/FOB be lost or stolen, it is to be reported to the athletic office IMMEDIATELY.
Upon resignation or departure from a position, ALL athletic area keys/FOBs should be turned in to the athletic office.
The athletic administration may collect all keys at the termination of a season or anytime it is deemed necessary.
