Hazing is considered harassment and will not be permitted to occur in any of the Southern Tioga School District's extracurricular or co-curricular activities. It is against school policy and against state law. Please refer to BOARD POLICY 247.
It is the coach’s responsibility to set the climate of his/her program. A key tool to be sure hazing does not become part of a program is to discuss hazing with the players and inform them that the practice will not be tolerated. Any occurrence of hazing or harassment must be reported to the coach as soon as it occurs.
Each coach will review the NFHS Course - "Bullying, Hazing, and Other Inappropriate Behaviors course with their team.
