Introducing the AAC Evaluation & Mentorship Team!
This team provides mentorship and support to clinicians and families in order to increase their competency in treating, evaluating, and obtaining devices for their patients who could benefit from AAC. Andrea Seagren SLP (pictured above) is in charge of this team.
Who is this for?
Any clinician who wants guidance in completing AAC evaluations and navigating the funding process
Any clinician who wants to obtain their Clinical Competency in AAC or simply increase their skills in providing AAC services
How does it work?
An AAC Mentor will join you and your patient for 4 visits, virtually
The Mentor will provide support with assessment & treatment strategies, and will guide you through the process of trialing SGDs for your patient
The mentor will also support you, as the treating clinician, with how best to provide family coaching and education to increase the caregiver’s skillset with helping their child use their device
How do I get Started?
If you are interested in participating, submit an AAC Evaluation Request Form for your patient and an AAC Mentor will reach out to you to schedule an intake call.
If you have any other questions about the program, please email AACteam@solacehealthcare.com.
