Know Emergency Procedures
Be aware of the stop button’s location before operating the machine.
Wait for the Machine to Stop
Do not remove material, reposition pieces, or make any other adjustments until machine has completely stopped.
Keep Hands Safe
Be very careful to not position your hands near the blade while it is cutting.
Hold the piece you are cutting firmly, and push the material through the saw slowly.
Always Monitor the Scroll Saw
Never leave the scroll saw running unattended.
Secure the Workpiece
Ensure the wood or material is flat against the table.
Tighten down the guide foot to hold the piece against the table while cutting.
Turn on the Saw
Let the blade reach full speed before beginning the cut.
Guide the Material
Gently push the workpiece toward the blade, letting the saw do the cutting. Do not force it through.
Follow Your Cut Line
Move the material smoothly and steadily, making gradual turns as needed. Use relief cuts for sharp curves.
Control Small or Delicate Pieces
Use a push stick or tweezers if the workpiece is too small to hold safely.
Keep Hands Clear
Always keep your fingers at a safe distance from the blade and avoid reaching across it.
Wood Scraps
Place excess material in the wood scraps bin.
Clear away dust and debris.
Personal Protective Equipment
