Know Emergency Procedures
Be aware of the stop button’s location before operating the machine.
Keep Hands Safe
Always hold material so that your hands won't come in contact with sanding surfaces.
Always watch where your hands are positioned as you are sanding.

Use Proper Positioning
On the belt sander, always butt the piece against the guard to control its position.
On the disc sander, always sand on the left side to draw dust away from you.
Secure Your Grip
Hold the material firmly so your hands stay clear of sanding surfaces.
Watch Hand Placement
Always pay attention to where your hands are positioned while sanding.
Turning off Sander
Stop the sanding belt before attempting to remove your piece.
