Erasmus Day in SZeŠ a SOŠ Poděbrady.
Day of learning, playing and having fun for all students and teachers from the school.
We did a survey and asked our students, parents, and others. We used the questions from the P13 of our Project. Here are some examples of the answers.

Make the education the same as the rich areas and giving the less fortunate people the same chances in life as the richer population
More chances to get to better schools and learn more but not in a stressful way
At least free breakfast in all schools, make a safer environment for students, have enough resources for students
Smáraskólahlaupið ( The school run) . Every student in our school had to take part in this run and everyone had to run at least 2,5 km. Everybody had their runningtime taken and some of our students ran 10 km. We are so lucky that our school is located in a beatiful valley, where the running competition took place.
We held our Erasmus+ day in May and we used the Eurovision songcontest as a great way to motivate and involve our students in Smáraskóli and the teachers and staff even further in our project. Also it was a great way for everyone to get to know things about Europe and Erasmus+ that they didn´t know before. Every student drew a country to study and introduce to other students, and of course their favorite song.
Our students prepared themselfes for their visit to Spain. They made a video to interduce Smáraskóli and a few games to teach the other students in the project.
Covid-19 stoped the project and it was put on hold for the next year.
In the year 2022 our project started again and there where some changes that had to be made. First of all Austria had drawn out of the project as soon as the covid-19 pandamic occured. We had to have all the Short- term meetings in only four mounths, because that was all the time we had left of the extension of our project. It was decided to have the Short- term meetings in Czech rebublic 21.-25. February, in Corum, Turkey 28. March – 1. April and in Alicante, Spain. Also do to covid-19 we had to buy hotels accommadations for our students and meals because they weren´t staying at the local homes anymore. That was a huge blow to our budget and we could not afford to go on all the trips. Of course we were heartbroken not to be able to go to Turkey, we decided not to go there because it was such a long trip for us and expensive.
Arnar Pétursson a former student of Smáraskóli, and now our countrys top athlete as a long distance runner, visited our students and lectured them about following dreams, and to never give up. How to live a healthy life and nourish both mind and body.
Telma´s students in 7th grade made a time capsule.
Husbandsday (Bóndadagur) We celebrated this very old national day, dressed up in handknittet wool sweaters and had a taste of our old national food, such as shark, lamb testicles, dried fish and sheeps heads. All the students and teachers came together and sang icelandic folksongs. This was a great day.
In local news is a article about our meeting in Iceland.

The spring colors (pink, purple and greens) are the things that they have and don't want to miss or things that they want to have in our school.
The fall colors (red, yellow and oranges) are for the things that the students wants to change or don't want to have in there school.
