LTTA IN ALICANTE
MAY 9-13 2022
As our project raises, “While keeping up with the school curriculum, meeting up parents and operating daily routine classes, bureaucracy, etc., we can have problems in saving time for creativity in our classrooms and schools. However, even in such little time, even with a little touch to create effective classrooms and contents, provides an undeniable atmosphere and environment where students are more likely to express their ideas, think outside the box, challenge problems and learn more actively and effectively.”
The activities designed for this meeting have focused on the idea reflected in its title: “Let's play games”. Let’s the students develop skills in their own time, pace and environment and give the students access to recreational activities that promote their creative thinking and intercultural communication skills.
The game is a guarantee of physical and emotional health for the little and young ones, hence its importance. In addition, it is essential for its correct development, so it is much more than something positive and recommended: it is a necessity. Leisure, carefreeness, fun... must be present in a childhood and youth for it to be happy and fulfilling. Playing, having fun and enjoying playful and recreational activities is a fundamental right of boys and girls. This was recognized in the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. It stated that:
"The child must fully enjoy games and recreation, oriented towards the ends pursued by education." Society and public authorities were also made responsible for promoting and defending it.
On the other hand, life and the world we live in, unfortunately leave behind many beautiful and simple games that are part of our cultures and are replaced by technology, video games, the loneliness of young people with their high-tech devices…
During this week, our team wants to offer adults and students an experience where we will share and learn the games of our cultures and probably discover that they are not so different and that fun and creativity have no borders.
We hope we all enjoy it very much.
