San Leandro USD uses SchoolMint to manage online enrollment. The district’s SchoolMint page shows that enrollment for the current school year is open and warns families to enroll early so their child can be placed at their home. You can sign up using either a mobile phone number or an email address. Once the online enrollment is submitted, the district will review your application and send you further.
Go to the correct site – Visit sanleandro.schoolmint.net and choose the current school year. Be sure to pick the right year. The page notes that enrollment for the following school year opens on the 1st of January.
Start a new account – On the sign‑in page, click the Create an Account link. On the registration form, enter a username (your email address or mobile number), confirm it, choose a password, and confirm the password. Then click Create an Account.
Finish profile setup – After registering, log in and provide additional guardian and student information as requested. SchoolMint may ask for your child’s name, date of birth and student ID (if known). If you have more than one student, you can add each one separately from the dashboard.
Required documents – The district provides a list of documents needed to verify residency and age. Follow the “Click Here” link under “For a list of all required documents” on the SchoolMint page to review what is required.
Log in – Enter your username (email or mobile) and password and click Ready, Set, Go!
Register each student – In your dashboard, select Register for each accepted student.
Complete forms – Click on each form to open it. Fill out questions and upload any requested documents. You may choose “Save and Continue Later” if needed.
Submit – When finished, click Submit. You will return to the Student Dashboard and see your student’s status updated to “Registration Completed”.
Recovering a username
If you can’t remember your username, click Forgot Username? on the login page. SchoolMint reminds users that the username may be the phone number or email address used to create the account. You’ll be prompted to enter your guardian first and last name; click Search and SchoolMint will locate your account.
SchoolMint’s support article explains how to reset a password. On the login page, click Forgot Password? under the login button. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account, and SchoolMint will send a reset link by email or text. On San Leandro’s “Recover Password” page, you enter your username (email or mobile) and click Set Password to receive the reset instructions.
Choose the right school year – The enrollment page reminds parents to select the correct year and to register as soon as possible so their student is placed at their home.
Use official contact information – If you run into problems, use the Online Enrollment Assistance link on the SchoolMint page to connect with SLUSD.
Complete one form per student – SchoolMint requires separate registration for each child. After you submit one student’s forms, return to the dashboard and repeat the process for additional children.
These steps should help John Muir Middle School families use the district’s SchoolMint portal effectively.
