The Aeries Parent Portal is an online portal that allows parents/guardians to stay current on their student’s progress at school. According to Aeries’ official FAQs, the portal lets families monitor attendance, grades, report cards and standardized test scores and, depending on which features a school enables, update contact information and view important documents. The portal is accessible via a web browser or the Aeries mobile app (available on Google Play and the Apple App Store). We advise all parents to currently only use the Web browser instead of the Aeries mobile app, which currently has been showing a lot of errors.
Important Notice: Student Aeries Portal Accounts are created during the first weeks of school the year or if your entering during the school year, with your Parent Facilitators guidance.
Creating a Parent Portal Account
Our district requires three pieces of student information to create a portal account:
Student ID number.
Primary phone number on file with the school.
Verification Pass Code (VPC) – a unique code generated by Aeries to identify your student or students. VPCs are created when the student is added to Aeries and are sent through ParentSquare. They also may arrive through your email and in your text messages whenever a school site sets an auto notice for Data Confirmations, which are due annually for each student.
Go to the San Leandro Unified School District portal login link: Visit Aeries Parent Portal .
Start a new account: Click Create New Account, choose Parent/Guardian, and enter the email address you wish to use. Create a password for your account. If you don’t have an email address, you can create a free one via Gmail or another provider.
Confirm your email: Aeries will send you a confirmation email. Click the link in that email, then return to the login page.
Log in: Use your email and password to sign into the portal.
Link your student: After you log in for the first time, you’ll see a “Student Verification Step 1” box. To link your child to your account, enter:
The student’s permanent ID number.
The primary phone number on file with the school.
The verification code (Verification Pass Code).
Verification codes are sent via email or text. If you haven't received it, please contact your school for the information. We normally send out Data Confirmation requests to families without Aeries accounts monthly.
Once your account is set up and your student is linked, you can log in at any time using your email and password. The portal provides access to attendance records, grades and other information. If you have more than one student in the school district, you can add them to the same account by selecting Add Additional Student from the student drop‑down menu and entering their ID, phone number and verification code.
If you forget your password, click the Forgot Password? link on the login page. Enter the email address associated with your account; Aeries will send a reset link to that email. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password. If the reset email doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder or contact the school for assistance. During the beginning of the school of the year, when we have orientation, hundreds of parents throughout the district and county are creating and adding students, so Aeries might not work 100% during this time.
For assistance with verification codes or other portal issues, contact the parent facilitators. They can reissue a verification code or help troubleshoot account problems.
