Music Patterns

Goal: To begin to learn the "phonics" of music: that individual pitches blend together to create musical patterns that will eventually become songs.

Activities from class

• Create your own pattern and show it with your friends (standing, sitting, lying)

• Which instruments behind the curtain made that sound?

• Poison Pattern: only repeat the patterns that are NOT the poison pattern!

• Pattern boxes: use bingo chips to organize what sounds you heard
