ARMY ROTC SCHOLARSHIP
National High School Scholarship program which is open now for all Senior students. One centralized and easy-to-complete application will allow students to compete for full-tuition scholarships at hundreds of universities (public and private) across the country, including Cal Poly.
Ken Harris of Cal POLY SLO is happy to assist students through the application process and answer any questions they might have about ROTC, Army officership, or Army service in general. Applying for and obtaining a scholarship offer does not commit the student to serving, instead it will become another option for them next Spring as they make their decision about where to ultimately attend.

There are a variety of steps that must be completed in order for an applicant to be submitted for the board and we are always looking for competitive applicants to award the scholarship to. (full-paid college tuition and service as a Marine officer)

To join the enlisted ranks, in general you must:
Be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. ...
Be in good health.
Be 17 to 40 years old (different branches have different age requirements). ...
Have a high school diploma (some branches will accept a GED)
Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test.

Juniors should start their applications soon as it is a lengthy process.
Air Force ROTC Scholarship (Very different from JROTC)
Application opens in June 2020 and awards are given out on a monthly basis.
Seniors may join AFROTC as walk-on students given they have been accepted or plan on attending a partner university/college. Please have interested students reach out for enrollment instructions. Scholarships may potentially be earned once in the program up until the end of their sophomore year in college.
