七子之謎

1/1/2011 Wilfred Hung:

William (Tam) has very good memory, but not perfect. As I mentioned before,全假七子 have nothing to do with 全真教. I entered Wah Yan in the fall of 1955. So, 全假七子 was most likely formed in 1956. My memory tells me that the following should be the nicknames:

高佬 - 彭立群

矮仔 - 孫自求

肥狗 - 張仲九

怪招 - 虞哲奘

12/31/2010 Henry Chang:

You (William Tam) really have a good memory. I actually gave the names to Peter Lee in a private email for fear that some of the more controversial names might be exposed.

Of course, all of us would like to be called 老子. Instead, we were called 小子.

Wilfred would never agree to be called 女子. Instead, he would called me "乾子" because I liked to eat 乾貨 such as 話梅, 嘉應子...

To make the list complete, Eugene (Yu Jer Tsang) was called 怪子 because he had a brain like a 科學怪人. When we played Bridge, he would always surprise us with some 怪招.

12/31/2010 William Tam:

As far as I can remember, the 'designations' of 全真七子 came in 1955 when we were in Form 1B , Mr. S. P. Choy being the classmaster. Most of us were subsequently promoted to Form 2B ( Fr. Kennedy ) and then Form 3B ( Mr. Poon ) .

Regarding holders of the 7 designstions, I can only remember the following :-

高子 - 彭立群

矮子 - 孫自求

肥子 - 張仲九

瘦子 - 蔣雲生

女子 - 熊舜英

? 子 - 張關翔

? 子 - ? ? ?

12/31/2010 Wilfred Hung:

全假七子 have nothing to do with 全真教. 全假七子 were supposed to be able to represent the entire Form 2B in just about anything at that time. For example, 最高,最矮, 最胖, 最瘦, English, Chinese, Math, contract bridge, Chinese chess, sports, dancing, billiard, etc.

12/24/2010 Henry Chang:

You (Philip Lee) may remember me as 張關翔 or 七子 but not as Henry Chang. People seldom called me as Henry ...

Attached is a brief bio of myself, a photo of 全假七子 taken in 1957-58, .....
