Lo Kwan has been following other WY class reunions on our behalf and he filed this report:

1) 1958 WY (Hong Kong) 50th Reunion Programme: A good friend of mine is a 1958 WY(HK) graduate. He gave me a rundown of the programme of their 50th reunion,

Thursday: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant,

Friday: Excursion to nearby Chung San, China, sightseeing & good food,

Saturday & Sunday: Move to Chu Hoi, China, again visits, eating & hotsprings,

Monday: Back to HK after lunch for a farewell dinner at another local restaurant.

Number of Participants: 40-50

2) 1959 WYK 50th Reunion Programme: The 1959 class had a 4 days function very recently,

Saturday 7/11/09: Tour of WYK campus & photos in the morning accompanied by 2 WYK students, lunch at HK Jockey Club racecourse followed by some sightseeing & dinner at a local restaurant,

Sunday 8/11/09: Local sightseeing until after lunch. Reunion gala dinner at night at a local restaurant. The present WYK rector was invited & to accept a donation from the class to an Education Fund (Contribution entirely voluntary but was suggested @ HK$5,000),

Monday & Tuesday 9/11-10/11/09: Optional 1 or 2 days' tour to Macau with sightseeing, good food & casinos.

Number of Participants: About 60 at the gala dinner & it was interesting that overseas participants out-numbered the local boys.

Many overseas schoolmates were group-booked into City View Hotel (formerly YMCA, now a 4-star hotel) at the junction of Waterloo & Nathan Roads, just opposite & within walking distance from WYK.

3) 3D Class & Friends Reunion at LA around July-August, 2010: Plans are in full swing for a 4-days cruise from LA to Mexico. It falls some time near the Wah Yan International Conference in LA from 21/8/10 - 22/8/10. All friends in addition to 3D classmates are welcome. If you are attending the International Conference or are somewhere around LA at the right time, just contact either Clement Ching Yat Biu, John Hu Berkim, Leung Ying Wai, or Sonny Sie Kwai Ming for details.
