2010 is a year to remember: It marks the 50th year since our middle school graduation from WYK. In August we joined a short LA cruise for 3D class (1957-1958) + friends. We had a few delightful days with a first taste of rekindled friendship among classmates & buddies whom we hardly recognized after such a long separation. There were much joy, happy moments & fond memories.
In November, we had the grand 50th Anniversary Reunion in Hong Kong - activity-packed 4 days including a homecoming visit to our old school, a local tour, a welcome dinner, a side trip to nearby China (Panyu's ChimeLong and OTC East in Shenzhen) & a farewell dinner. Many other classmates whom we hadn’t met in August made their way back to relive those good old days. Blessed with perfect weather & safe travelling, we had some wonderful time together, with a lot of excitement, laughter & nostalgia. While we were enthralled in those memorable moments, we also managed to raise a substantial donation for the Father Kelly Scholarship Foundation under the name of the 1960 Class, a truly worthy & meaningful cause to mark the occasion.
For those who for some reason did not make the trip to the reunion, we look forward to seeing you sometime, somewhere & somehow. - LoKwan
