1. Secretary's Report
a. The minutes of the meeting of November 17, 2009, had been previously distributed.
It was moved, seconded, and carried that they be approved as presented.
b. The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 2009, had been previously distributed.
It was moved, seconded, and carried that they be approved as presented.
c. The Secretary reported that Frank Antoniazzi and Frederick Neikirk had been reappointed to the
Planning Commission by the Township Supervisors.
d. It was moved, seconded, and carried that Frank Antoniazzi be elected as Chairman for 2010 and
that Frederick Neikirk be elected as Secretary for 2010.
2. There were no requests for action or advice arising under either the Zoning Ordinance or the Subdivision Ordinance.
3. As requested by the Supervisors and the Planning Commission, the Secretary had prepared a draft amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. The draft amendment would establish noise levels for the various Zoning Districts, and provide for exceptions for certain non-commercial activities. The draft also contains a section dealing explicitly with the issue of off-road recreational vehicles. This could also be removed and used as a "stand-alone" ordinance should the Commission and/or Supervisors conclude that the problem of noise from recreational vehicles would be better dealt with apart from other noise producing activities. (See 12/15/09, item 4 for background.)
After discussion it was agreed by common consent to postpone further consideration of the draft amendment to the February meeting to allow members of the Commission to review the draft and to seek further information.
There being no further business that could be accomplished at this meeting, the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
