Minutes of the Wilmington Township Planning Commission
Meeting of January 16, 2007
The meeting was convened at 8:08 p.m. at the Township Building.
Members present: William Allen; Frank Antoniazzi, chair; and Frederick Neikirk, secretary.
Members absent: Dale King and Lynn Williams.
Visitors: Joseph Knott.
1. It was agreed by common consent to hear immediately from Mr. Knott since the only other business
before the Commission dealt with internal matters.
Mr. Knott shared background information on a proposed "Wengard subdivision." The property is located
on both sides of Route 208 west of Route 18. It will likely be divided into three parcels.
Members of the Commission shared informal feedback on the concept.
2. Secretary’s Report
a. The minutes of the meeting of November 21, 2006, were read.
On motion, the minutes were approved with typographical corrections.
b. The minutes of the meeting of December 19, 2006, were read.
On motion, the minutes were approved with one typographical correction.
c. The Secretary reported that the dates for the 2007 meetings of the Commission were properly advertised.
The third Tuesday in May is the date of the primary election so, in keeping with the previous action
of the Commission, the May meeting will be on the fourth Tuesday. This was included in the advertising
of the meeting dates.
d. The Secretary reported he had checked with the Township Secretary and none of the members of
the Commission had their terms end at the end of 2006.
e. The Secretary presented a draft annual report of the activities of the Commission for 2006.
The Municipalities Planning Code (Sec. 207) requires that such a report be submitted to the Township
Supervisors by March 1 of each year. It was moved, seconded, and carried to approve the report as
presented by the Secretary and to forward it to the Supervisors. (See Attachment 1.)
3. It was moved, seconded, and carried that Frank Antoniazzi be elected Chairman for 2007 and
that Frederick Neikirk be elected Secretary for 2007.
There being no further business that could be accomplished at this meeting, the meeting was adjourned at 9:07 p.m.
