Ground station setup:
Use the R1 case, a tripod bag and the Grey glonass antenna.
open case, pull out 1 main 110v power plug, connect it to the extension cord in the tripod bag.
We no longer have to switch the 110-220V power supply it is auto!!! (yay!)
Plug in the station to power
find the raven inline amplifier which should be in R1, use this to connect the antenna to the splitter in the case, be careful of the signal direction arrows on the amp, only goes one way
turn eurocard on with the switch on the bottom left face of the case.
Push power button on all three javads
open netbook push power button
Login using gps/aol*10
there should be a "terminal" icon on the top left screen, click that (you can use alt-tab to switch screens if needed)
the termial does not actuall open in front, after you double click on it, use alt+tab to switch to the terminal screen.
wait 3-5 minutes then type "linlogger" and hit enter.
Enter a 4 letter site name into linlogger then drop down and set port to usb0 and then set recording to .5 (.5 is our high rate, 20 seconds for low rate overnight) seconds and click start
after a while it should start getting a larger file size, if it does not then use Ctrl+C and try the process again.
to start logging javads, push and hold the log button for 2 seconds, they will start flashing green on the "record" light
To download data or delete files on the javad follow the in case instructions. (will add them here later)
Two ways to download data, first, use the scripts!
there are two things hardcoded in the script, the campaign and the name of the USB stick. Both of these can be changed if you edit getgps.py
right now it is made to use the two black Transcend 64gb usb sticks.
First, stop data, push the log button on all three javads for 2 seconds, they will stop flashing on the right hand light.
goto linlogger, click stop (click start again and set to low rate data most likely)
open another terminal window
type "./getallgps.sh"
the script should log in to each javad and display the filename it is download between the blue bars. Check to make sure that is todays date
after it starts downloading, it will copy over all the eurocard files except the low rate one you just started.
after that finishes it will copy the javad data over to the usb stick, then move it to a "fall2015" folder (this is the hardcocde variable in getgps.py)
wait for the blue light on the usb stick to finish flashing and you are done!
To delete gps files on the Javads.
run the script ./deleteboth.sh (will actually delete files for all three javads)
It will log into each javad one at a time, pop up a list of files and you tell it what you want to delete. After you are done deleting on one, type "q" and hit enter and it will move to the next Javad
