Roshni Nadar grew up in Delhi and graduated from Northwestern University majoring in Communication with a focus on Radio/TV/Film. She also graduated with a Masters in Business Administration having a focus on Social Enterprise Management and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management.Within a year of her joining HCL, she was elevated as executive director and CEO of HCL Corporation.
Prior to becoming CEO of the HCL Corporation, Roshni Nadar had been serving as the trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, which runs the not-for-profit Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering in Chennai. She had also been involved in brand building across the HCL Group.
As a member of the SSN Institutions and Shiv Nadar University Boards of Management, she is actively involved in developing the strategic roadmap of the institutions to maintain and progressively improve the benchmarks set in academics, extra-curricular development.

She is the driving force behind the VidyaGyan schools in Uttar Pradesh, a radical initiative to induct and transform meritorious rural children from economically challenged backgrounds and create leaders of tomorrow. Under Roshni’s leadership, VidyaGyan has expanded its outreach to touch nearly 200,000 children in the State of UP covering 75 districts. Under her leadership and direction, VidyaGyan has become a model of socio-economic transformation for the families and communities it impacts and has earned global recognition.
