In 2012, he started GoDaddy in India, which was an empowering mission to bring an entire nation online by building a profitable business in India at Internet scale. In 4 years, it grew to become the largest domain and hosting player in India, with phenomenal brand recall and customer care center in India
Prior to GoDaddy, he spent 11+ years at Microsoft, which is what shaped the majority of his career and was instrumental in giving him diverse experiences. He joined Microsoft as a technology evangelist and eventually ran the SMB and Cloud business of Microsoft. He started his career by being a software developer which is one of the best ways to understand the customer objective and the magic of software.
His best work has been in ambiguous situations - and he loves bringing order to chaotic situations. “In such situations, it is not about the role or job description - it is doing whatever it takes to accomplish the goal. Typically such experiences have been gained in matrixed environments with a cross-section of people across markets, time zones and nationalities”.
