New York TMA (aka Harry)
Looking for your next Dressage, Eventer, Hunter, Jumper, Pleasure Driving, CDE or any other type of competition horse? Look no further, Harry is an 9 (2007) yr old 14.2H Registered Haflinger Gelding that while just squeaking in to measure as a pony, he gives off the impression of being a much larger horse. He has athleticism to spare and a ring presence that draws the judges eye. Whether it be a halter, riding or driving class he always pins well and gets complements where ever he goes.
In ridden dressage he consistently scores in the 70’s (intro & training level) and in driven dressage in the low 50’s and 40’s (training and prelim level). Hunter or Jumper more your thing? Harry has a large stride and a lot of scope and has never refused a fence in the show ring nor at home. He is almost always in the upper ribbons in the English riding (hunter under saddle classes) as well. He has competed successfully in ridden and driven trail and has gone out on the occasional real trail ride. Harry also loves to drive. He drives single, pair and in either spot in the tandem. He has successfully competed in both pleasure driving and combined driving type of events.
Harry thrives on work and loves attention! He is fine living and/or working in a group or by himself. He does all the basics – bath, clip, farrier, trailering, and so on. He is up to date on shots, teeth and farrier. More pictures and videos available upon request.

Mobile WRF and Montgomery WRF - HOME FOUND!
"Bill" and "Monty" are full brothers born and raised on the farm. We are looking to find a home for Monty and Bill to live out the rest of their days. They are currently eighteen and nineteen years old, respectively. Bill is sound and has years of life left in him to ride and drive. Monty has been relegated to a pasture buddy, as his hind end has difficulty supporting a rider's weight. We will not split the brothers up, as they have spent their whole lives together. Bill drives double (or triple, or four abreast) and has been ridden by riders of all ages. Bill is also a fabulous jumper and makes an excellent trail companion. Both Monty and Bill stand 56" (14 hands) and are sweet and personable. Monty and Bill are free to a home that would allow them to remain together.
Stanhope WRF - SOLD
Walnut Ridge Farm proudly offers for sale: Stanhope WRF
"Stan" is a 2 yr old gelding and is the Grand Champion Junior Horse in the 2014 Haflinger Championship Challenge. He excels in In-Hand Trail and places well in his halter classes (mixed class of 2yr old stallions and geldings). He is by Standard of Excellence TOF and out of Chloe SLR, an N-Hitchock Van De Hoogenweg daughter. He is currently 57.5 inches tall and is still growing. Stan loves people and is very much a “pocket pony” always wanting attention and follows people around the field. He does all the basics – baths, clips, ties, loads in the trailer, and so on. He has had in-hand training and will lead, lounges (both free and on line), joins up, side passes both ways, backs and will walk over anything I have asked him to so far (tarps, poles, feed bags, water, bridges). Stan has also been ground driven and had the harness on. Stan’s training will continue to progress and his price will increase as his training increases so act now to purchase this wonderful gelding.

Lucy-Lori - SOLD
Lucy Lori is a big, 15.1hh beautiful eight year old mare who has been living on our farm for about three years now. She is trained to ride and has been to the National Show where she pinned exceptionally well. Lucy has also been hunter paced multiple times by riders of all levels. She has been ridden on the road, in parades, and trail ridden a lot. Lucy is very steady, loves people, and is a very trustworthy mount. Her canter is well started and will progress with more time. I unfortunately don’t have enough time for this great mare, will hate to see her go, but would love to see her go to a great home!
Chloe SLR - SOLD!
"Chloe" is a twelve year old broodmare who has produced some absolutely phenomenal horses. Chloe is by N-Hitchock Van Hoogenweg out of C-Mystic RVF. In February Chloe was started under saddle (pictured below) and is doing really well. Pictured below are some of her offspring. August has won numerous awards in Driving, Halter and English Pleasure. Kati has won awards in English Pleasure and Jumping. Chloe's movement is such that she appears to be floating over the ground. Chloe produces foals that are exceptionally athletic and talented in many areas. We are sorry to see her go, but we have stopped breeding and feel that she should go to a home where she can continue to produce high quality foals. Chloe is currently in foal to Standard of Excellence for a 2014 foal.
Pictured below are some of Chloe's offspring:
Catch the Moment WRF - SOLD!
"Carrie" is the sweetest horse we have ever owned. Her name is due to the fact that five of the Walnut Ridge girls "caught" her being born early one May morning. Ever since then she has been hugged, petted, rubbed and loved on daily. She just turned two in January 2013, but would make the perfect 4-H or project horse due to her willing and eager disposition.

Frances MBM - SOLD! Congratulations Melanie Amhowitz!
"Ali" is a ten-year-old sweet tempered mare who is 58" (14.2 hands) tall. Ali was ridden all summer by a thirteen-year-old girl who showed her in english, western, dressage, jumping, gymkhana, trail and showmanship. Ali performed very well, winning a Top 5 English Award in the Haflinger Championship Challenge in 2012. In addition, she was also used for parades this summer and used as a trail horse in the Allegheny Mountains, easily navigating steep terrain, deep rivers, and wide grassy meadows. She is a wonderful cross-country mount, due to her careful and willing attitude toward fences. She comfortably jumps 2'6" and has a steady collected canter when completing a hunter course.

Northern Order ANM - SOLD! Congratulations Penny and Ava!
"Sammie" is a big nine year old gelding who both rides and drives. He stands 14.3 hands tall (59") and is big enough to easily carry a large adult, but not so big as to be intimidating for a smaller rider. Sammie would make a great trail horse due to his unflappable nature. He is confident in himself and that confidence shines through in the way he approaches life. He has a fabulous slow western jog that is smooth and easy to sit. He has also been on a couple hunter paces, and was exceptionally relaxed and calm.

Midas Touch II NTF - SOLD! Congratulations Sharon Wood!
"Midas" is a nine year old gelding who both rides and drives. He was an integral part of our show circuit for the last several years, providing the perfect mount for several of our riders. As all of them have now gone off to college, Midas is looking for a new home with some girl (or boy) to love him and use him for any of the many, many qualities that make him so special. He has been very successfully shown english (placing in the Top Five English Division of the Haflinger Championship Challenge last year), western, jumping, dressage (winning both intro and training tests for the last three years), gymkhana, and trail. In addition, he has been a favorite hunter pace mount, fearlessly attacking any jump we throw at him. He has been to the Ohio Equine Affaire, performing in breed demos and the Julie Goodnight clinic, and has also gone camping in the Allegheny Mountains. He has performed in many parades and is one of the most developed all around horses on the farm. He has a willing, gentle and eager-to-please personality that make him a truly special horse. This horse has found his way into the hearts of many horse crazy girls.
Midas is the center horse in both of the above pictures, which were taken at the 2012 Ohio Equine Affaire.
Magical Lights WRF - SOLD! Congratulations Ingalls Family!
"Maggie" is a fun loving nine year old mare who was born on our farm. Her dam is Merryleggs - a solid, confident Haflinger that we use for beginner lessons. Maggie's sire is Northern Lights RAH. We deeply regret the need to sell Maggie as she has been a fabulous show horse, cross country partner, and riding companion to all of us here at Walnut Ridge (but as the herd has swelled to over twenty horses, we had to make some tough decisions). Maggie stands 14 hands 2 inchs tall (58"). Maggie drives single and double (and three and four abreast) and is extremely well broke under saddle. She knows her leads and is very sensitive to leg aids. She has been shown at Haflinger shows for many years as well as at county fairs in english, western, dressage, trail, gymkhana, and over fences. She LOVES to jump and excels at cross country and hunter paces. She has also participated in numerous parades and thrives on the attention. Maggie is eager to please and a true pleasure to ride.

Andretti JRMH - SOLD
"Mario" is without question the kindest and gentlest horse in our herd. Mario came to us as a yearling and right away stole a place in our hearts. He is on the smaller side, but is the perfect horse to be some girl or boy's best friend. He turned three this year and stands fourteen hands high (56"), with the potential to gain another inch or two before he finishes growing at five. With his eager to please attitude and his calm and quiet disposition he couldn't be a better kid's horse. Mario was started driving single and double last year and recently has been started under saddle.

Shyanne LAH - SOLD! Congratulations Gugels!
"Shyanne" is a half sister to Andretti JRMH (who is for sale above). Shyanne is a big beautiful yearling brimming with potential. This filly stands 55 inches tall as a yearling and will grow into a VERY tall gorgeous mare. Shyanne has a flowing, eye-catching stride and with her natural athleticism, this filly could literally do any type of driving or riding that was asked of her.
Anna WRF - SOLD! Congratulations Lori!
"Anna" was born on our farm on a cool spring day. Her dam is Anja SFF, an Austrian import that classified high silver at 78 points in Austria as a three year old. Anna's sire is Midas Touch II NTF. Anna LOVES people and is always the first horse to come up to the pasture fence and say hello. She turned four this year and is growing into herself beautifully. She currently stands 14 hands 3 inches (59") and is looking to gain another half an inch to an inch before she turns five and finishes growing. Anna was started driving single and double last year as well as under saddle. She will make an excellent hunter horse with her strong steady movement and athletic form. She can also slow her motion and go western quite easily too. This year Anna will attend all the shows and can be seen in the ring in the English and Western walk/trot classes as well as intro Dressage, trail and a handful of others. This is a mare full of potential.
