Over the break, before flying to Venice, we got our hands on a drone! The first drone we ordered never arrived, but the second drone was shipped to Gabe's house and he's been busy learning to fly it!
After a few (or a few too many) crashes, the drone took some decent footage. The team realizes that they may have to change the orientation of the camera to get a better view, but so far this little drone shows promise! The team has prepared itself with many extra propellers and six extra batteries for plenty of footage. Hopefully, the team won't have to rely on the drone for good data, but it's comforting to know we have something for a last resort.
Here's a picture of some of the footage it took!
Although it is admittedly blurry, it does allow for some visual classification of otherwise hard to reach land!
