We've reached our last week in Worcester! This week we spoke with Alessandra and realized that we had a little more work than expected, but the team is up to the challenge. We'll be creating a base layer, similar to what we've done for Giudecca, for all of Venice and part of the mainland. This will take a while, but hopefully with some help from the VPC, we can utilize a beta plugin that QGIS has that will try to semi-autonomously label some of the green spaces for us.
Additionally, the team has made a classification flow chart and usage block diagram to help us classify lands based on some of the attributes we expect to encounter. Both can be found below!
We also ordered a drone to take some data over the walls of people's properties. Although there was a delay in the drone arrival, we're hoping it will arrive by the end of the week!
Finally, we gave our final project presentation this past Monday (10/9). We think it went very well, and we got some excellent feedback from other groups as well as our ID2050 Professor.
Next time you hear from us we'll be in Venice!
