Christchurch Marathon

Another cold frosty morning in Christchurch faced the swarm of runners lining up on Orchard Road on the edge of Christch
urch Airport. The race was run around and through the airport making it flat and safe (except for ice) for the competitors but almost impossible for spectators.
Val was spied at 16 K where she looked relaxed and happy running amongast a group of men.
She crossed the line in 3:35:12 15th overall and 3 in the VW 50 - 59 another 28 days and she would have been in the 60 VW and won it with ease. Maybe next year when the course returns to the city.
