Val has represented New Zealand on 13 occasions 5 at 100km and Eight at 24 hours.

Her international career started in 1997 and in 2013 she has posted times and distances that make her eligible to represent New Zealand at both the 100 km and her more favoured 24 hour event.

At the age of 63 she is still running world class distances in world class fields.
