A mind map was used to help generate ideas for the project. This was split into six sections.

An outline of the problem the software will need to tackle

There are lots of different and expensive software vendors out there that offer a solution. However could there be a quicker and cheaper way to address the problem?

Project Planning - These are ideas on how the project should be conducted in terms of the software development framework, project management methods and scope.

Research - There are resources to include as part of the project research to determine if the idea meets the need?

Concepts and Ideas - These ideas will shape what the tool should look like, the principles of its operation, functionality and design.

Problems - These are perceived issues and questions that would need to be addressed within the project.

Task and Activities - This is a high level breakdown for the structure of the project. These ideas will be used to create a full project plan, to check progress and time manage against.

Proposed System & Stakeholders - This section of the mind map focuses on the potential users for the tool, and how the tool would generate revenue if hosted online.

This is a high level summary of the phases of the project from initiation to completion.

These are the deliverables of the project.

The software will be called "User Guardian". The three stages show conceptually how the tool is designed to work: inputs, operations/processing and outputs.
