UMIT ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION or UAA, represents the collective efforts of the UMIT alumnae from a range of disciplines in the field of Technology in the furtherance of an ongoing commitment to excellence in various aspects of graduation. United by similar interests, educational values, and research methodologies, we the Alumnae have embarked on this journey to make a difference to the institute. Although our courses were technology-specific, nevertheless our beloved institute prepared us young women for a wide variety of careers. In that we were encouraged to reason, to rationalize and to be sensitive towards the slightest amount of detail. The emphasis on rational use of knowledge, critical insight and communication skills only strengthened us to achieve our ambitions. These are the skills that we graduated with and now we wish to make best use of them by helping all UMITians in whichever way possible. We want to enable every UMITian from all walks of life, to take full advantage of the opportunities that present themselves during one’s professional life.
Our objective as the alumnae is to empower every UMITian and make her the instrument to create an informed tech-savvy society, based on tolerance and respect for others. The ‘You Mighty Souls’ are united by the objective of exploring all aspects of the student’s all-round development: teaching and research, academic help, mentoring, financial assistance, placement opportunities and so on.
Now, it is time for us, the alumnae, to return to campus to motivate and help the juniors apart from catching up with old friends, rekindling bonds, and reminiscing about life at UMIT.
Equipped with a noble paraphernalia of benevolence, education and courage, the You Mighty Souls are here to stay, to stay connected, to own up to the wonderland of UMIT, to Envision, Empower and Excel!
