In today’s highly competitive job market, the right kind of guidance can make a world of difference. It is also important for the students to be apprise to: what kind of job would suit them? whether they possess the right skill sets and personality to get a job with a company of their choice? what are the available job profiles after the completion of the course? and, what is the most likely pay package?
Students need to know, most importantly, what skills they need to develop to get that Dream Job. And for those who have the drive, the right kind of training is necessary so that their efforts bear fruit.
To help the students go that extra mile, the Placements Division has been set up within the UAA. The Placements Division will conduct Grooming sessions, aptitude tests, ex-student sessions and a chance to interact with their future. The alumnae would help the placement division by getting more companies for the Campus placements.
The grooming sessions will be applicable to the students of the first, second and third year. These sessions will deal with communication skills, corporate dressing, diction, voice modulation and personality development through seminars and subsequently classes and will be held throughout the semester.
The Placement Division will also provide assistance on the aptitude and technical tests held by companies and will collect the aptitude test papers of various companies for students to practice thoroughly. Students can also request for sessions to be arranged on programming languages and other technical topics that may be of use during the technical interview. Alumnae can share experiences about Personal Interviews, Group Discussions, etc.
Sessions with companies coming for placements will be applicable to students of the third year. Also the Placement Division will ensure that HR employees of various companies give a session to students regarding the company, job profile, expected salary and briefing about the HR policies, work culture and answer questions the students may have, before they decide to apply for a position in the company.
