Gold Tone are one of the Biggest Banjo Companies around at the moment. They are ostensibly a US company but how much of the actual manufacture is done there I don't know. They do have a very good range of interesting Banjo's, (plus a number of other nice instruments), including this one which is the only purpose built Baritone Banjolele I know of. Although it is a similar size to a Tenor Banjo, (though it is slightly smaller than a short scale "Irish" Banjo), it has 20 frets and so is made as a Banjolele not just a "Chicago" tuned 17 or 19 fret Tenor or 22 fret Plectrum.

It is a well put together instrument and all of the wood on it is very good. As a musical instrument it is quite unique the extra length and different tuning set it apart from the smaller Banjoleles and its Banjo nature makes it more of a different sound to the wooden Baritone Ukuleles that the smaller Banjoleles are to their wooden counterparts
