Please note that a couple of errors in these SIs have come to light. We will change the relevant documents in due course, in the meantime please check out the following:-
In the Appendix
1.5 change to read
"Redress for breakdowns is limited. If YES all SI 10.6 applies; if NO only SI 10.6.3 applies."
Reason: SI 10.6.3 must always apply and should not be part of SI 10.6. This will be corrected in next version but changing the appendix ** which competitors might read ** resolves the matter in the interim.
1.6 change to read
"A boat capsized after her starting signal, so that her masthead is in the water, shall retire immediately."
Reason: rule should catch a boat capsized at her start, not only one that capsizes after her start.
1.7 change to read
"A boat capsized after her starting signal, so that both her gunwales are touching the water or her mast is stuck in the bottom of the lake or sea, shall retire immediately."
Reason: rule should catch a boat capsized at her start, not only one that capsizes after her start.
