Troop Campouts

For our monthly campouts we have been all over North Texas. We have camped as close as Cedar Park Hills and as far away as Longhorn Cavern State Park and Beavers Bend State Park. The PLC will decide upon a theme for the month (ie. Shooting) and will use the skills section of the troop meetings to teach those skills. We then put those skills to practice. at the monthly campout . As well as rank advancements the scouts may also earn Merit badges at these campouts. The cost for each campout varies depending on distance and activity but ranges from $20 per head for a local campout to $100 if the scouts decide to do an activity, like caving or rock climbing, where it is necessary to hire guides.
